Eich Bhàna wins Best Animation at FilmG Alba 2017!
A few weeks past I was able to attend the FilmG awards ceremony in Glasgow, where the winning films were announced, and what a night it was! It was so inspiring to see the variety of films being made in Gaelic, by all ages, and to meet many other enthusiastic filmmakers. I am so thrilled to have been a part of FilmG; this competition is such fantastic way to promote and encourage Gaelic film-making, as well as encourage creativity throughout Scotland - particularly in more rural areas such as the Highlands & Islands. A huge thank you to all the team at FilmG and to everyone who watched, voted, shared, and gave kind comments and support for Eich Bhàna. I'm delighted that so many people were able to watch and enjoy the film! Eich Bhàna is still available to watch online, along with all the other nominated and winning films, so do check out the website at filmg.co.uk. Exciting times ahead now; I've been a tad slow at updating my website here, but I've also been busy researching into buying my own equipment (to create more hand-drawn animations to the likes of Eich Bhàna and beyond!) and thinking over new project ideas. There are many stories to be found in the landscapes and culture of Scotland - and FilmG has given me more motivation to get out there and tell them! Mòran taing a chàirdean!
